01 / By room

What does this space need?

Choose a room to explore the different jobs appliances do. Start here, then confirm dimensions, capacity and installation with us.

Make room for a little comfort.

A ceiling fan circulates air; a table fan gives movable airflow. Compare fan size, mounting clearance, noise information and the controls supplied. A fan with a light can combine two functions.

Fresh air. Hot water. Everyday ease.

An extractor removes humid air; a water heater supplies hot water. Compare extraction capacity and duct route separately from heater capacity, dimensions and plumbing. Ask your installer to confirm placement and power requirements.

Give the busy room room to breathe.

Start with ventilation for the space and a suitable extraction route. General ventilation fans are not automatically suitable for grease-laden cooking extraction. Share how the kitchen is used so we can help narrow the selection.

Comfort, repeated room by room.

Plan guest-room airflow, hot-water demand and washroom appliances as separate needs. Note the number of rooms, peak usage, mounting space and preferred controls before comparing models.

Fans and extractors do different jobs

A room fan circulates air around the occupants. An extractor moves air out of a space. Decide whether you need personal airflow, ventilation, or both before comparing models.

Dimensions and installation

Measure the mounting space and access. Check product dimensions, clearances, fixing method, duct size or plumbing connections as applicable. Compare these with the installation instructions.

Capacity and daily demand

For water heating, consider peak use as well as tank capacity. For ventilation, check the airflow specification against the room and duct arrangement. Bigger is not automatically the right fit.

Power and controls

Check voltage, wattage, connection requirements and included controls on the exact model. Your installer should confirm the supply and protection required before installation.

Complete the space

Fan lights can be explored through lighting as well as appliances. TV brackets and AV accessories remain in Appliances. Bring a model number when asking for a replacement regulator or component.
